What is the Counselor's Role?

School Counselors:

~ consult and collaborate with staff and families to ensure student achievement in all areas

~ provide referrals for outside assistance and resources

~ aid and support both individually and in a group setting to help students during times of transition, stress, or critical change

~ encourage better student relationships and promote positive attitudes

~ work with staff and families to identify the needs of the students and the campus

~ maintain confidentiality
